How long will a Milwaukee M18 battery run my gear?

Why do Milwaukee batteries need a low voltage cutoff?

Here is the Milwaukee-specific bit worth knowing. M18 batteries leave over-discharge protection to the tool. Clip one on a drill and the tool shuts things down before the battery runs too flat. Run that same battery on its own, powering a fridge overnight, and there is nothing to pull the pin. Flatten a lithium battery too far and you can kill it for good, and M18 packs are not cheap.
