Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy â ZED Supplies Pty Ltd

1. Overview
This policy applies to products purchased directly from zedsupplies.com.
We design and assemble our products in Australia with a focus on durability and reliability. From tough polycarbonate housings and extra-thick plastics for strength, to quality components and careful hand assembly, we donât chase âcheap and cheerfulâ â we build gear thatâs meant to last.
This policy sets out:

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) still apply and are not limited by this policy.
2. Change-of-Mind Returns
We understand sometimes you order the wrong thing or change your mind.

Eligibility window:
You can request a change-of-mind return within 30 days of delivery. -
Condition of goods:
Returned items must be:-
unused and not installed,
-
in resaleable condition, and
-
returned with any included accessories (e.g. leads, brackets, hardware).

Return postage (change-of-mind):
For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for return postage and insurance. We recommend a tracked service. -
Packaging standard:
Products must be packed with reasonable care â inside a sturdy carton with suitable padding (bubble wrap, foam, etc.). Please donât just throw a unit loose in a satchel or envelope.
If an item is damaged in transit because it was poorly packed for a change-of-mind return, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value. -
Refunds for change-of-mind:
Once we receive and inspect the goods, weâll refund the product price to your original payment method. Original shipping charges are not refunded for change-of-mind returns.
This section is about change-of-mind only. Different rules apply to faulty or DOA goods (see below).
3. Dead-on-Arrival (DOA) & Transit Damage
If your order arrives damaged or not working out of the box:

Once we confirm a genuine fault or transit damage:

For customers in Australia, we will provide a prepaid Australia Post return label so you can send the item back at no cost.

For customers outside Australia, youâll usually need to arrange and pay return shipping. Depending on the situation and any local consumer protections, we may choose to reimburse reasonable costs or offer an alternative remedy.
Where the issue can be resolved quickly with a repair, we may repair the product at our cost. Where repair is not practical or appropriate, we may instead offer a replacement or a refund, taking into account the nature of the fault and requirements of the Australian Consumer Law.
4. ZED Limited Warranty
In addition to your rights under the ACL, ZED offers a Limited Warranty on ZED-branded products against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
4.1 Warranty periods
From the date of delivery:

4.2 Whatâs covered
This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship in the ZED product itself when it is:

used as intended; and
-
used in line with the product description and instructions on the relevant product page.
ZED adapters are designed to draw power from compatible 18V / 20V power tool batteries to supply 12V outputs to your 12V gear. We do not design, manufacture or warrant the batteries or tools you connect to our adapters.
4.3 Whatâs not covered
The ZED Limited Warranty does not cover, for example:

Power tool batteries, chargers and tools:
This warranty applies only to the ZED-branded product (adapter, module, cable, mount, bracket). It does not cover any power tool batteries, chargers, tools or other third-party equipment that you connect to our products. -
misuse, abuse, neglect or impact damage (drops, crushing, etc.)
-
use outside published ratings/specs (e.g. excessive current draw, wrong voltage)
-
unauthorised modification, disassembly or repair
-
damage from liquids, corrosion, vermin or foreign material ingress
-
cosmetic wear and tear or minor surface marks that do not affect performance
-
normal wear on consumable accessories.
4.4 How we resolve under this ZED Limited Warranty
Under this ZED Limited Warranty, our primary remedy is to repair the product at no cost to you, using new or refurbished parts.
If a repair is not practical, cannot be carried out within a reasonable time, or we otherwise consider it inappropriate, we may at our discretion:

replace the product with a new or refurbished equivalent; or
-
provide a refund of the purchase price.
This Limited Warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and does not limit those rights.
5. Who Pays Return Shipping?
Faulty / DOA / Warranty claims

Australia:
If we confirm a genuine fault, DOA issue or valid warranty claim, we will provide a prepaid Australia Post return label so you can send the item back at no cost. -
Outside Australia:
International customers will usually need to arrange and pay for return shipping in the first instance. Depending on the circumstances and any applicable consumer protections in your country, we may choose to reimburse reasonable return costs or use another suitable remedy.
Change-of-mind returns

For change-of-mind returns, you pay return postage and are responsible for the goods until they reach us.

Please follow the packaging guidance in Section 2 to avoid damage in transit.
6. How to Start a Return or Warranty Claim

Weâll let you know whether the item needs to be returned and, if so, provide an RMA number and return instructions. -

For Australian faulty/DOA/warranty claims, use the prepaid label we provide.

For change-of-mind or most international returns, arrange your own tracked shipping.

Assessment and outcome
Once received, weâll assess the item and process the appropriate remedy (repair, replacement or refund under the ZED Limited Warranty and/or the ACL).

7. Proof of Purchase
Please keep a copy of your receipt or order confirmation. We may ask for proof of purchase to process returns, warranty claims or refunds.
8. Refund Method & Timing
Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method where possible. Processing times can vary depending on your bank or payment provider, but we aim to process refunds within 10 business days of approving the refund.
9. European Union â 14-Day Cooling-Off (Where Applicable)
If we ship an order into the European Union, consumers in the EU may have a 14-day cooling-off period for distance sales. If you wish to exercise this right:

notify us within 14 calendar days of delivery;

return the goods in the same condition you received them (you may handle them to check their nature, characteristics and functioning); and
-
provide proof of purchase.
We will process the refund in line with applicable EU rules once the goods are received or evidence of return is provided.
10. Australian Consumer Law â Mandatory Statement
For ZED products supplied to consumers in Australia, our warranty against defects includes the following mandatory statement:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits those guarantees.
